Good call my friend, though I sure like it when he tends to shower us with blessings instead! There are things about our faith and knowledge of God that can only be learned by walking in the valleys of life.

If we remember that God’s will for our lives is our sanctificaton- 1 Thess 4:3, then sometimes He uses tends to use our discomforts and trials more than the comforts of life to make us like His Son.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts – happy to know you’ve found a good support group. I can appreciate how much we need people of like minds to be there for us. We senior saints are expected to be wise and strong because we’ve lived so long and survived so much. It’s not always true. I’m blessed to have people in my life that can still counsel me, laugh and cry with me – sometimes just to sit quietly. (Believe it or not, I can be still and quiet).

Great thoughts! Not always clean cut answers for sure! I do find it interesting that God uses our wrong actions often in His divine will.

Either it’s just another reverberation of the “shot heard ’round the world”
(resulting in representative democracy)
- or -
It’s the continuation of global jihad against Westernization
(resulting in an Islamic theocracy)

My questions are about us.

Is “Democracy” the style of Government which is most reflective of Christianity?
Were the Founding Fathers actually sinning by leading a revolution?
Should Christians try to impose their Biblical standards onto the laws of their Nation/State?

Amos, this is what truly does make Christmas so exciting and fun. Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone and involved in this ministry while you were in Detroit. It is such a blessing to be able to help someone in need anytime of the year.
