On Wednesday Nights at Park Lake I’ve been using the time to answer people’s questions, whatever the topic. Several expressed interest in the current conflict with radical Islam, and how this was going to affect their grandchildren.
What a great topic! Islam is so foreign to most American Christians, and we really have an ignorant view of the conflict at hand. I believe its important to take the time to understand the “other side” and explore the basis for the Islamic Worldview, it is really there that we see how dangerous this movement is to world stability and the expression of our American rights.
When you explore the Islamic Worldview, you quickly see that the driving evangelistic force behind their missionary endeavors is not spiritual conversion, but rather world domination of the Islamic order. This has been achieved from the beginning of their faith through violence, and is in direct contrast to the Christian perspective of spreading our faith through showing love and compassion.
I understand that there are movements within Islam that take moderate and liberal views of spreading the faith. It is also important to understand that there are millions of Muslims that live peacefully and want nothing more than practice their faith and live their life in freedom. With that said, there is a strong, and large section of Islam that has an aggressive agenda, and they are actively pursuing control in whatever environment they can get a foothold in.
At this some of my members pressed me to answer the question “Aren’t you afraid that they are going to win?” to which my reply was “No, not at all, they can’t win!” You see we have to see this for what it is, this is really not an issue of political dominance, but rather spiritual warfare. Islam is false religion, that has warped the understanding of Jesus Christ, and is seeking to lead all men away from a saving relationship with God through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Saviour. Understanding the conflict through my faith in Jesus Christ, I have the complete confidence that Islam won’t win world domination, because I have read the book and know how it ends. God says clearly that “every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”, and I’m pretty confident that God is going to come through on that promise.
Is Islam a threat to my children? Yes, it is a threat to their American liberty and freedom, but my faith has never been in the American way of life. I follow a faith that was established in a dictatorship, and that faith has found a way to flourish in empires, kingdoms, communist regimes, tribal areas, democracies, any and everywhere where men and women surrender their heart to the truth of who Jesus Christ is.
The biggest threat to my children is not Islam, its not having a clear understanding of who Jesus is in their life. I believe we ought to fight the advancement of the Islamic agenda aggressively, but the hope for mankind is as it aways has been … faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Allowing Him to have control of our life is the biggest challenge we face, just as it always has been.

I must agree that they won’t win…but sometimes I think the American people don’t really understand that they want us dead. They care not about life. Its nothing to them. Life of an human being is precious in Gods sight.
More and more you see on the new’s of life just snuffed out like its nothing. It just breaks my heart. Its not just Islam but also the babies that are killed on a daily bases right here in America. They call it freedom to choose.
But we must remember God is in control, He is Holy and Just, and always does what is best for you and me.He works out the bad in life for good. Praise God! He does have a plan. In Him I can rest knowing He is on the Job working out His perfect plan.
So you are right, for our children and for all, they need the security, and protection of Jesus Christ our Lord. In whom has all the power to complete His plan and purpose for this world. Let’s be a part of His mercy and loving care for the human race.So that people will see Christ in us and through us.
Preach it brother. Proud of you
